More on Our Sealing 03-01-08
So Tony and I are all ready to go. They place us in the "waiting area" while they go to get the man that sealed us. I can't remember his name isn't that awful. The Sealer comes and gets us ready and along comes the Sister that was helping me through the whole process. She says, "I'm sorry we are taking so long, apparently one of the witnesses was late coming because his wife forgot her temple recommend." It took me a few seconds to process they were talking about Cherali, my sister. Rob, my brother-in-law, was one of the witnesses. Okay so Sister I said, do you mean my sister? She said oh yes, but your brother-in-law is here now so we can begin. But wait Sister what about my sister? Well she is not here yet, but don't worry if she dosn't make it in time to hold Tylea during the ceremony we will just get one of the attending sisters. And then it hit me with full force. They are not going to wait for my sister. Oh my gosh my sister is not going to be there. I could no longer hold in the emotions, I was so overcome I actually snorted. It was like a way dramatic sobbing scene in the movies. I was so embarrassed, but I had been holding it back and couldn't hold it any more, the flood gates were opened. The sister and the Sealer immediately scrambled for tissue and calming words, Tony hugged me and I said I won't go through it without my sister. :) The Sister hurried away and I cried some more on Tony's shoulder and then reality hit. I have to go in a room full of people, I'm the spot light how's my makeup? Finally the Sister came back after several excruciating minutes and told us that my sister had made it. My cousin Tena saved the day. She drove like a bat out of haites to get there with my sister's temple bag. Whoooppeee. Crisis averted. It was a beautiful day and ceremony we were so overcome with the love and support of family, friends, and the ward. Thank you to everyone. Oh, and we forgot a camera, so did everyone else so we have no pictures at the temple. By the way Cherali made Tylea's dress. :)
